TESTIMONIALS

Don’t just take our word for it

Beyond excellent experience from start to finish!

An all-time favorite!

“We had an unbelievable trip. I can't imagine having done it without the help of Wilderness. They made sure that we had greeters at every airport who would help us with our bags and usher us through immigration and security all the way to our gates. This was incredibly important as we had many tight connections. In addition, every lodge knew we were on our honeymoon and made special preparations for us. We felt so prepared thanks to Wilderness, and their constant availability and willingness to mold different itineraries for us was so nice. A wonderful company. Would highly recommend that people use them if booking a trip to Africa.”

“We just booked our second adventure in Botswana with Wilderness. Starting from the moment of contact until you are back home checking out all your amazing safari pics, well, this is the only way to go. Friendly, caring, diligent, Wilderness makes sure this is a trip of a lifetime no matter your budget. I have traveled the world, and our previous trip with Wilderness was our all-time favorite. At least until the trip coming up!”

Is it safe?

Having operated for four decades, you can rest easy knowing that your safari is safe in our hands. Our industry-leading safety and logistics support, Wilderness24, gives you instant on-the-ground assistance for anything and everything that might arise. Our private charter airline Wilderness Air will get you to our remote camps safely. And our industry-leading guides have an uncommon ability for understanding wildlife, allowing for up-close encounters where both you and the wild can co-exist peacefully.

How many camps do you typically visit?

With over 40 Wilderness camps across Africa, the options for your safari journey are endless. That said, our custom-designed journeys typically include two to four nights at each camp, though how many camps you visit is entirely dependent on the duration of your trip.

How does a typical day at safari look like?

A typical day on safari is dictated by nature, and your own desires. Get closer to wildlife on morning and afternoon game drives. Enjoy the finer details of our wild places on a guided nature walk and marvel at the things you’d miss when in a vehicle. Glide along waterways in a mokoro,

canoe, boat or barge and discover the wealth of birds, reed frogs, and waterlilies. Or relax by the pool or at the spa. You may even choose to swap a night in your tent for a sleep-out under the night sky with our Star Bed experiences. The choice is all yours.

Can I do multiple countries and multiple camps?

Yes, it is possible to combine multiple countries and camps in one epic African adventure. This will give you the opportunity to discover diverse wildlife experiences as you explore different ecosystems, wildlife species, and landscapes.
