The highlight was our full-day trip to the Skeleton Coast – from Mars-like desert, to lush floodplain to a large oasis with flamingos, and finally to the coast where we saw thousands of seals and enjoyed a delightful lunch on the beach before flying back to camp. Is it safe?

You can rest easy knowing that your Namibia safari vacation is safe in our hands. And our industry-leading guides have an uncommon ability for understanding wildlife, allowing for exceptional encounters where both you and the wild can coexist peacefully.

How many camps do you typically visit?

With seven Wilderness camps in Namiba, there are numerous options for your safari journey. That said, our custom-designed journeys typically include two to four nights at each camp and how many camps you visit is entirely dependent on the duration of your trip. With short airplane transfers between camps, you’ll also get the unique opportunity to see Namibia from above. Unique scenery, wildlife, and cultures are waiting to be revealed, and we at Wilderness can’t wait to share them with you.

Do you cater for different dietary requirements?

Yes, we cater for all dietary requirements at our camps, where delicious cuisine is a definitive highlight of your safari experience. Expect a range of healthy, delicious recipes that tread lightly on the Earth, designed to highlight indigenous ingredients sourced from the areas surrounding our camps, or grown directly in the gardens surrounding your accommodation.

What does a typical day on safari look like?

A typical day on safari in Namibia is dictated by nature, and your own desires. Get closer to Namibia’s wildlife on morning and afternoon game drives. Slow down and enjoy the finer details of our wild places on a guided walk, or explore the desert by quad or e-bike. Go boating on the Kunene River to discover the wealth of birds. Relax by the pool, or enjoy an in-room massage at select camps. You may even choose to swap a night in your tent for a sleep-out under the night sky on your suite’s veranda. The choice is all yours.
