Experience of a lifetime
A hidden gem on the banks of the Zambezi River with ellies galore!
“Little Mak is actually surreal. We saw lions, elephants, cheetahs, hippos, giraffes, zebra, buffalo, wild dogs and tons of other animals. We even witnessed a pride of lions take down a buffalo. The property is in the middle of Hwange National Park and provides an intimate adventure, as there are only 6 tents. The staff is beyond amazing, warm and inviting, and the food is delicious and creative. In order to get there we had to take a very small commuter plane to an airstrip where our brilliant guide Leo met us. Wilderness has a tent there for arrivals. It is something to experience.”
“I must say, Ruckomechi blew us away! The lodge sits on the banks of the Zambezi River with the mountains of Zambia as an amazing backdrop. God started with “perfect” here! Elephants roam freely through the camp on their way to the river. The lodge is “authentic safari” and the staff is so invested in your experiences, whether hooking a tigerfish, sleeping under the stars in the treehouse, brunch prepared in the bush overlooking the Zambezi, or just sitting poolside or on the massive tree-covered deck watching wildlife as they play in/along the Zambezi. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed and comfortable. The food is delicious and never-ending.”
